Mission
To provide qualified mathematics education and training that meet the country's needs, and to train elementary mathematics teachers and academicians who are scientifically minded, open to innovation, possess creative ideas, and capable of utilizing modern Information Technologies. To monitor global developments in mathematics education and training and to introduce new methods and techniques to our country. To participate in mathematics and geometry education projects. To collaborate and communicate with domestic and international organizations and institutions that can support the professional development of prospective mathematics teachers.
Vision
To provide the necessary infrastructure for primary school mathematics education, closely track all innovations in the field, follow domestic and international publications, and utilize technology; conduct research on the disciplines within the framework of mathematics and geometry, and explore ways to more effectively communicate the learning outcomes of these disciplines in mathematics classes. To cultivate responsible prospective teachers who are knowledgeable about methods and techniques of mathematics instruction, inquisitive and investigative, and capable of transferring these skills to their students. To train mathematics teachers who are committed to the general goals of Turkish National Education and Atatürk's principles and reforms, and who are citizens of the Republic of Turkey aware of their rights and responsibilities.
